The Signing and Unveiling Ceremony of Nanjing Normal University Affiliated Yancheng Hospital has been hosted
On the morning of December 22, the signing and unveiling ceremony for Nanjing Normal University Affiliated Yancheng Hospital was held in Yancheng. Yancheng Vice Mayor Li Lanxiang and Yue Song, Member of the Party Standing Committee of the University and Vice President of the University, attended the event. Experts and scholars from Beijing, Wuhan, and other locations, along with leaders from the Yancheng Health Commission and the Fourth People's Hospital, as well as heads of relevant functional departments and colleges of the university participated in the meeting. The ceremony was presided over by Wang Zheng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Yancheng Health Commission.

In his speech, Yue Song emphasized that this collaboration represents not only a landmark achievement in the coordinated development of the university, local government, and medical institutions, but also a pragmatic step toward deepening the integration of medical education and advancing the “Healthy China” strategy. He stressed that the partnership is far more than a mere ceremonial signing—it is a systematic endeavor to “establish solid foundations, build robust capabilities, and cultivate distinctive strengths.” Both parties will pursue deep integration across multiple domains including discipline development, scientific innovation, talent cultivation, and medical services, forging a development community where “we are inseparable from each other.” By promoting cross-disciplinary, cross-team, and cross-platform collaboration, they will strengthen the construction of the Brain Science and Mental Health Intelligent Support Research Institute, intensify talent recruitment efforts, achieve mutual access between graduate students and clinical resources, conduct organized scientific research, and facilitate the clinical translation of research outcomes. Both parties will also jointly advance the development of a social mental health service system, innovate medical-education integrated talent cultivation models, effectively enhance regional mental health service standards, contribute to building a regional medical hub with distinctive features, and inject powerful momentum into the construction of a healthy Yancheng.

In her speech, Li Lanxiang stated that this collaboration represents a significant initiative to deepen the coordinated development of higher education and regional healthcare, fostering new productive forces in the medical sector. It will effectively advance the high-quality development of public hospitals and better meet the public's health needs. She emphasized that the Health Commission must increase policy, financial, and talent support. The Fourth People's Hospital of Yancheng should establish a new medical-education synergy mechanism guided by national assessment indicators, prioritizing research breakthroughs in mental health and brain science. She expressed hope that Nanjing Normal University would leverage its disciplinary strengths to deepen collaboration in specialty development and talent cultivation, jointly elevating regional healthcare standards and contributing to building a “strong, prosperous, beautiful, and high-quality” new Yancheng.

At the event, Yue Song and Li Lanxiang jointly unveiled the plaque for Nanjing Normal University Affiliated Yancheng Hospital. Guan Hongxing, Director of the Development Planning Office at Nanjing Normal University, and Qi Xinhui, Deputy Director of the Yancheng Municipal Health Commission, signed the Cooperation Agreement between Nanjing Normal University and the Yancheng Health Commission. Zhong Yuan, Dean of the School of Psychology at Nanjing Normal University, and Liu Hong, President of Yancheng Fourth People's Hospital, signed the Agreement Designating Yancheng Fourth People's Hospital as Nanjing Normal University Affiliated Yancheng Hospital.

During the conference, Nanjing Normal University Affiliated Yancheng Hospital and the Yancheng Branch of Nanjing Normal University's Institute of Brain Science and Mental Health Intelligent Support were simultaneously inaugurated at Yancheng Fourth People's Hospital. Moving forward, Yancheng Fourth People's Hospital and Nanjing Normal University will engage in in-depth collaboration across talent development, scientific research and innovation, teaching practice, and medical services. Together, they will strive to advance the high-quality development of mental health and psychiatric care throughout the city, making greater contributions to safeguarding the physical and mental well-being of the people.
