Brain Cognition Experimental and Theoretical Research Team

The team is mainly engaged in teaching and research in two orientations of Brain Cognitive Experiment and Theoretical Psychology and History of Psychology. The team has an ideal structure, which is cooperative, innovative, and in the prime of life. It has 16 team members, including 8 professors, 8 associate professors, 5 doctoral tutors, 16 masters' tutors. 15 of them are doctorates. 1 listed in National “New Century Hundred-Thousand-Decathousand Talents Project” (namely, 100 top-level talents, 1000 outstanding talents and 10000 excellent talents for the country in the new century), 2 in Second Level of Jiangsu “333 High-Caliber Talents Training Project”, 1 in the Third Level of Jiangsu “333 High-Caliber Talents Training Project”, 2 as Young-Middle-Aged Backbone Trainees-for-Teachers of Jiangsu "Youth and Mid-Agers Project", 2 among NNU 100 Leading Youth Talents, 3 among Excellent Young Backbone Teachers of NNU "Youth and Mid-Agers Project".

All the team leaders and key members have great academic impact in domestic psychological circles: the team leader Prof. Benyu Guo, who is also Director of Chinese Psychological Society (CPS), Director of Chinese Association of Social Psychology (CASP), Director of National Lev Vygotsky Research Association, Editor of Acta Psychologica Sinica, Psychological Science, Psychological Exploration and Psychological Research; former Deputy Director of Special Committee of Theoretical Psychology and History of Psychology at CPS; Prof. Chang Liu, who is Vice Chairman of Physiological Psychology Branch of CPS, Editor of Advances in Psychological Science, Council Director of Brain Science and Education Research Branch at the Chinese Society of Education (CSE); Prof. Fengyan Wang, who is also Director of Theoretical Psychology and History of Psychology Branch at CPS, Deputy Director of NNU Research Institute of Ethical Education which is a key research institute of humanities and social sciences in universities established by Ministry of Education (MOE); Prof. Liping Yang, who is also Director of Theoretical Psychology and History of Psychology Branch at CPS, Director of CASP, Deputy Secretary of Jiangsu Psychological Society (JPS), Deputy Director of Jiangsu Community Psychological Society, Editor of Psychological Exploration, Research at Taos Research Institute of the US; Prof. Ti-fei Yuan, who is also Associate Editor-in-Chief of SSCI magazines such as Frontiers in Psychology, and Editor of magazines such as Peer J and Plos One.
