In 2019, the first course planning seminar for the construction project of language pathology majors in Colleges and universities was successfully held

On June 30, the first course planning seminar of the Mu Course Construction Project for Language Pathology Major in National Colleges and Universities was successfully held in the conference room of Nanshan Expert Building of our university.The conference was sponsored by the School of Language Rehabilitation of Beijing Language University and the College of Literature of Nanjing Normal University, and sponsored by the Center for Language Development and Obstacles Research of Nanjing Normal University. The Mu Course Construction Project for Language Pathology Major in National Colleges and Universities is co-sponsored by Beijing Language University, Nanjing Normal University, Shandong University, Sichuan Foreign Studies University, Guangzhou University of Foreign Studies and Southern Medical University. It is jointly sponsored by Northwest University, Central University of North Carolina, RUSH University, Hong Kong University of Education, Taiwan Asian University and Taiwan Donghua University.Supported by the Language Rehabilitation Committee of China Disabled Persons Rehabilitation Association and the International Association of Speech and Language Therapy, colleges and universities are aiming at establishing a language pathology-related framework through close cooperation between domestic and foreign universities, in accordance with the international standards of language therapy and hearing rehabilitation, in combination with the education and clinical practice in the related fields of language pathology and hearing and language rehabilitation in China.Professional series of courses.Participants discussed the three main themes of curriculum planning project, curriculum outline and curriculum standards, and formulated a preliminary curriculum development plan.

Professor Gao Liqun, Dean of Language Rehabilitation College of Beijing Language University, stressed the necessity of language pathology courses and pointed out the four core uses of this series of courses.First, it is used to support the daily teaching of linguistic pathology, speech and hearing science, hearing and language rehabilitation and related specialties in Colleges and universities; second, it is used to standardize the training standards of professional knowledge and ability of domestic language therapy and hearing rehabilitation and special education professionals, and to support on-the-job training, continuing education and professional development of on-the-job personnel; third, it is used to support the language pathology in Colleges and universities.The standardized training of young teachers of learning and related specialties should support the development of their educational resources. Fourthly, it should be used to support the participation of network education and continuing education in Colleges and universities.

Professor Liang Dandan, deputy dean of the College of Literature of Nanjing Normal University, pointed out that the major of linguistic pathology in various schools has different advantages and characteristics. It is necessary to combine the background of experts, learn from others and establish relevant courses around the theme of pathology. Each school is responsible for developing one or two specific courses, establishing unified curriculum standards, and promoting the construction of the national curriculum of linguistic pathology.

 

Professor Hao Jianping of Central University of North Carolina, Professor Zhang Xianda of Hong Kong University of Education and Professor Yang Chikang of Donghua University of Taiwan introduced the current curriculum settings and development experiences of the United States, Hong Kong and Taiwan respectively, and put forward many constructive suggestions on building case databases, integrating basic and clinical courses, and using negative film technology to protect patients'privacy.

 

Professor Malian, Stomatological Hospital of Peking University, Professor Tian Hong of Beijing Language University and Associate Professor Lin Feng of Nanjing Medical University put forward some suggestions on curriculum design from the clinical point of view. Clinical teaching should be combined with cases, and at the same time, the course depth of special part should be controlled to cultivate students with practical ability.

 

Professor Ma Wen of Shandong University, Professor Li Tsinghua of Southern Medical University, Professor Jiang Meng of Sichuan Foreign Studies University, Professor He Xiaowei of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Professor Zhang Maolin of Nanjing Normal College of Special Education and Dr Duan Haifeng of Central University for Nationalities exchanged views on the copyright, development, compilation and publication of course textbooks and lectures, and discussed the standardization of the form of the course.

At the end of the meeting, Professor Gao Liqun expressed his heartfelt thanks to all the experts present for their efforts.He lamented that the construction of language pathology course in the whole country is a long-term and meticulous project. However, if there are seedlings, there will be no worries about growth. With so many experts'collective efforts and wisdom, it will surely be able to build a language pathology course that meets the international standards and the national leading level.Professor Liang Dandan has made clear the working objectives of the next stage. He hopes that all colleges and universities will work together to transform the results of the study into the teaching level and contribute to the training of language pathology talents in China.
