The lecture revolved around Wang Guowei and Chen Yinke, masters of Chinese classics. The lecture focused on their life experiences and friendship strategies, and deeply explored the humanistic spirit that runs through the two Masters'academic management and human conduct. It focuses on six aspects: Wang Guowei's personal friendship with Chen Yinke, Chen Yinke's retrospect of Wang Guowei, the spirit of independence and freedom, cultural and political adherents, Chinese and Western academic and prevailing concepts, and the funeral and relationship of cultural Shenzhou.

In the part of "Wang Guowei's personal friendship with Chen Yinke", Professor Peng quoted Mr. Jiang Tianshu's "special knowledge of interest" to sum up their friendship, pointing out their common characteristics of reverence for academics, and taking the talks in the I-word hall on cold nights, the couplets in Haiwang Village, and the nine worships in front of Gangbing Temple as a slight proof.

In the part of "Chen Yinke's Retrospect of Wang Guowei", Professor Peng combed six retrospects of Wang Guowei from 1927 to 1953 in the form of elegy, elegy, elegy, inscription, preface and reply to the Academy of Sciences. And in Chen Yinke's couplet, it highlights his memory of Wang Guowei and Wang Guowei's candlelight to lead Chen Yinke.

In the part of "Independent Thought and Freedom Spirit", Professor Peng pointed out that this formulation was put forward by Chen Yinke, but came from Wang Guowei, and pointed out the importance of "Independence" for the development of academia.

In the part of "Cultural and Political Heritage", Professor Peng emphasized the difference in the recognition of Wang Guowei and Chen Yinke's identity in the alternation of the old and new times. He believed that Chen Yinke and his ancestors were not deeply involved in the officialdom and were political heritages, while Wang Guowei was a beneficiary of the Qing Dynasty and had dual identities of political and cultural heritages. He cited two poems to prove the difference.

In the part of "Chinese and Western Academic and Reservation Concepts", Professor Peng introduced Wang and Chen's ways of feeling Chinese and Western culture and their differences in defining the relationship between Chinese and Western sports.

In the part of "the funeral and Department of cultural divine state", Mr. Peng quoted Chen Yinke's poems, pointing out the significance of Wang Guowei's academic achievements to the inheritance of Chinese cultural context, and included the essence of their academics - Chen Yinque was to get rid of political bondage, while Wang Guowei was to pursue academic transcendence of utilitarianism.

In the questioning section, Mr. Peng patiently answered the students'questions about Wang Guowei's death, Wang Guowei's Chinese and Western academic aspirations and so on, which is very forward-looking and professional.

Finally, Professor Chen Shulu made a brilliant summary and comment on the lecture. He expressed his sincere thanks to Professor Peng Yuping for his coming thousands of miles to preach and teach, and pointed out that his academic achievements should be related to his study and inheritance of Wang Guowei and Chen Yinke, two great masters of Chinese culture. He also encouraged the students here to use his free and independent thought, rigorous and down-to-earth attitude in future academic research. With a view to becoming a new scholar who contributes to the times and society.
