Ⅰ. Personal Profile

Chen Jide, male, born in December 1968 in Fengyang, Anhui Province, holds a postgraduate education, a doctoral degree, and the professional title of Professor.

He obtained his Master’s degree in Chinese Modern and Contemporary Literature from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Shandong Normal University in June 1998. In December 2002, he earned his Doctoral degree in Drama and Chinese Traditional Opera from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Nanjing University.

His main research interests cover dramafilm and television history and theory. For undergraduate students, he teaches courses including Introduction to Art, AudioVisual Language, Introduction to Drama, Script Writing, and General Theory of Film Art. For postgraduate students, his courses are Film Theory, Film Language, and Basic Principles of Screenwriting for Film, Television and Theatre.
