School of Social Development Successfully Held the Fifth National History Knowledge Competition

At 6.pm on March 16,2011, the 19thPostgraduates’Science and Technology Cultural Month and the Fifth National History Knowledge Final Competition was successfully held in the in YiFu Building lecture hall in Nanjing Normal University SuiYuan Campus. This year’s National History Knowledge Competition takes ‘living in safety without forgetting the danger, understanding the history and loving our nation’ as the theme. 

The competition is divided into two, namely, non professional and professional groups. The quiz for non professional group consists of three parts: required questions, list-required questions and first-answer-win questions. Though amateur players are not professional, but they did very well in the competition. After the non-professional-group competition, professional players began their finals, which were more intense and exciting. Their wonderful answers were so attractive that the audience couldn’t help applauding.

The Competition has a good campus impact. More than 300 participants from 11 colleges took part in it. At last, the result came out. King Chenxue and Li Zongyufrom the School of Social Development won a championship in professional groups. Also, Fang Qiang and Hou Qinghaofrom the School of Literature got first prize in non-professional groups.

In the summary and comment section, vice president Qi chunfeng gave the professional comments on relevant national history and encouraged the students to continue to work for greater progress. At this point, the Fifth National History Knowledge Competition successfully came to an end.

The Fifth National History Knowledge Competition not only fully demonstrated the profound literacy of young students in our school, but also led students to take history as guidance and state their aspirations, encouraging students not to forget our history, as well as strengthening the sense of national self-confidence and pride.
