At 7:30 A.M. on Month 23, Faculty of teacher Education " Red Candle " Youth Association Volunteers gathered at the main entrance of the school, to go to the Donggou, carrying out this volunteer activities.

As soon as the volunteers arrived at the entrance to the hallway, they heard the cheerful conversation of the children. When they got to the classroom, everyone greeted the teachers enthusiastically. The small monitor of the last class election  also arranged the check-in work soon. Using the first 15 minutes of class, volunteers arranged for the children to write weekend assignments and answer questions for everyone.

 

The first class was a biology lesson brought by volunteer Marlene Jay-bacteria. First of all, volunteers used vivid images and explanations to introduce children to the classification and characteristics of bacteria, stimulating a strong interest of children. The volunteers then used questions to introduce the ubiquity of bacteria, while raising children's health awareness. Finally, volunteers and everyone talked about the role of bacteria, making cheese, leather and other applications to give children an eye-open.

 

During the short recess, the children actively helped the teacher distribute colored paper, tape and other tools to prepare for the next class of handmade classes. This class is made of handmade flowers brought by Mentin teacher. Listening to the teacher's patient explanation, most of the students could follow one step at a point to make. Some children do not have a good grasp of the essentials. So under the guidance of volunteers, they strived to do better. In the end, every child had a rose in his hand. Although the quality is uneven, but that sense of accomplishment, happiness and appreciation for beauty are the same.

 

Through this volunteer event, children not only learned interesting and practical biological knowledge, but also learned the exquisite handmade flower production. Volunteers also continuously improve their skills and enrich themselves during the course of their lectures. For the shortcomings in the activities, the volunteers also made a summary and reflection, looking forward to the next event to better carry out.
