Jinling Education Academic Forum's political subject lecture was successfully held
On the afternoon of April 12, 2019, the lecture on “Study teaching and discuss ideas, expand knowledge and promote virtue” was successfully held at the Xuezheng Building, Xianlin Campus, Nanjing Normal University. The lecture was given by Li Rongrong, the teacher of Nanjing No. 1 Middle School. The theme was “Listening to the class – from amateur to professional”, and all the graduate students of the 18th level of teaching (politics) of the Teacher Education College participated in the lecture.
At the beginning of the lecture, Mr. Li had an interaction and exchanges with the students on the lectures and assessments. In response to the “three no phenomena” that existed in the lectures, Mr. Li published some opinions and suggestions on the lectures, indicating that they should be promoted. The professionalism of the assessment class clearly presented evidence-based classroom observations. At the beginning of the lecture, the students showed great interest.
Then, Mr. Li introduced the classroom observation LICC model, which consisted of four elements: student learning, teacher teaching, curriculum nature, and classroom culture, emphasizing the observation of the classroom from multiple dimensions. Later, Mr. Li elaborated on the three aspects of knowledge base, professional activity procedures and tool development. First, In terms of knowledge base, Mr. Li first introduced some professional books related to the model to the students; through the analysis of the deconstruction of classroom teaching,and it was concluded that “student’s learning” should be the final point to reflect the core literacy of the subject. To complete the goal of fostering character and civic virtue,Mr gave the classroom observation framework of "4 dimensions 20 perspective 68 observation points"; and took the "student’s learning" dimension as an example,and carefully analyzed how to listen, automate and achieve these from the students. In one aspect, we evaluated a class. Second, In terms of professional activity procedures, the main points of the listening class were analyzed from the pre-class meeting, the class observation, and the after-school meeting. Teacher Li emphasized that the observation objectives should be clearly defined before class, so that they can be targeted and improve the efficiency of classroom observation. In addition, she was combined with his own experience, and she vividly and concretely showed the students the necessity of collecting evidence during the observation in class, so as to improve the professional level of the listening class. In the aftermath, we should also exchange and summarize in time, and we must "have conclusions, evidence, and responses." Third, In the development of tools, the issue of “how to develop and use observation recording tools” was discussed. From the perspectives of determining observation points, decomposing core concepts, finding key behaviors (evidence), and designing observation tools, and letting students analyze the scales.Teachers and students interacted and exchanged their ideas,which was full of strong academic atmosphere.
Finally, Teacher Li pointed out: "Observing other people's classrooms is to build their own classrooms, and observing the teacher's teaching is to pay attention to students' learning." And I urged everyone to pay attention to the specialization of listening to the evaluation class, taking more actions after learning and learning, Reflecting on yourself in action.
