Joint Construction, Sharing, and Common Growth: School of Teacher Education Hosts an Academic Event for the Digital-Intelligent Education Teaching and Research Community
To promote the spirit of educators, give full play to the advantages of the clustered development of educational disciplines at Nanjing Normal University, respond to educational reforms in the artificial intelligence era, enhance teachers' digital literacy and intelligent teaching capabilities, and deepen the mutual learning of inter-school educational and teaching experiences, the School of Teacher Education of Nanjing Normal University, together with Yancheng Experimental School of Nanjing Normal University and Affiliated Experimental School of Nanjing Normal University, jointly organized the Academic Event for the Digital-Intelligent Education Teaching and Research Community from August 27 to 29.
Professor CHEN Bo from Nanjing Normal University gave a special lecture titled "Enhancing Digital Literacy to Become AI-proficient Intelligent Teachers". Starting with the current development trend of educational digitalization and combining the essence of the Guidelines for Artificial Intelligence in Primary and Secondary School Education (2025 Edition), he emphasized that "the in-depth integration of artificial intelligence and education is a key direction of the national education strategy". Teachers need to proactively adapt to changes, make good use of tools such as AIGC to assist teaching, and improve the efficiency and quality of classrooms.
Principal DAI Hanlin of Yancheng Experimental School led a study team to Jinling Middle School for in-depth inter-school exchanges. Vice Principal XU Feng of Jinling Middle School delivered a sharing session themed "Laying the Foundation for Students' Lifelong Development - Practice and Exploration in the Cultivation of Top-notch Innovative Talents", where he shared the concepts and experiences of school educational and teaching reforms in the digital and intelligent era.

The School of Teacher Education also successfully held the "Joint Construction, Sharing, and Common Growth - Launching Ceremony of the Teaching and Research Community and Academic Seminar" together with the Affiliated Experimental School. Professor FENG Jianjun, Dean of the School of Teacher Education, and Professor LIU Jian, Principal of the Affiliated Experimental School, jointly signed a cooperation agreement on the teaching and research community. FAN Shuyun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Teacher Education, and ZHI Jing, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Affiliated Experimental School, jointly presented appointment letters to 10 tutors, laying a foundation for in-depth teaching and research cooperation in the future.


In the academic seminar session, Professor CUI Yunhuo, Ph.D. supervisor from East China Normal University and Director of the Institute of Curriculum and Instruction of the Ministry of Education, was invited to give a special report. With the theme "AI + Teaching and Research and Deepening Curriculum Reform", he provided the participants with a cutting-edge perspective from the angle of the integration of national curriculum policies and artificial intelligence. MA Weilin, a national distinguished teacher and Secretary of the Party Committee of Jiangyin Senior High School in Jiangsu Province, shared profound insights into educational transformation in the new era around the theme "Value Understanding and Pattern Reconstruction of School Curriculum and Teaching in the Intelligent Era".


In the group discussion session, teachers from more than ten disciplines of the community schools, including Chinese, Mathematics, Foreign Languages, Politics, History, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and comprehensive disciplines, conducted in-depth exchanges on key topics of the Senior High School Entrance Examination and the National College Entrance Examination, as well as difficulties in the implementation of the new curriculum standards (NCS).

This academic event of the teaching and research community aims to build a new "teaching-research" model for the collaborative development of universities and affiliated primary and secondary schools. It will carry out continuous cooperation in aspects such as joint curriculum construction, collaborative teaching research, and joint teacher training, establish a regular teaching and research exchange mechanism, promote the in-depth integration of teacher education and basic education, and jointly contribute to the high-quality development of basic education.
