On the afternoon of November 22, more than 100 graduates from the School of Teacher Education of our university went to primary and secondary schools in Qixia District for educational observation activities. The event was jointly organized by the School of Teacher Education of Nanjing Normal University and the Education Bureau of Qixia District. Mr. Wang Shouyun, Secretary of the Work Committee of Qixia District Education Bureau, Mr. Zhou Wenjin, Chief of Personnel Department and other leaders of Qixia District Education Bureau, Mr. Liu Gengsheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Teacher Education College, Mr. Li Xiaoliang, Deputy Secretary of the League Committee, and leaders of visiting schools participated in the activity.

First of all, the graduates of the 2019th Normal University visited the Middle School of Xianlin Branch of Jinling Middle School, the primary school of Xianlin Branch of Jinling Middle School, the Middle School of Xianlin School attached to Nanjing Normal University Middle School, and the primary and secondary schools of Xianlin School attached to Nanjing Normal University Middle School affiliated to the Education Bureau of Qixia District. During the visit, the students carefully inspected the school's teaching environment, thought about their employment intentions, and put forward their own questions to the school teachers. The visit provided an opportunity for normal graduates who were about to face employment to understand the schools in Qixia District and a platform to communicate with various schools and units. After the visit, the students watched a carefully prepared propaganda film of Qixia District prepared by the Education Bureau of Qixia District in the lecture Hall of Xianlin Primary School of Affiliated Middle School of Nanjing Normal University. The promotional film showed the rapid economic development, pleasant and comfortable living environment, advanced science and technology industry and talent gathering in Qixia District. Next, the leadership of Qixia District Education Bureau made a further introduction on the recent development of education in Qixia District, and welcomed the students to apply for the school affiliated to Qixia District Education Bureau. Finally, the participating leaders answered questions on the professional restrictions and the number of teachers' needs raised by the students present.

In order to gain a foothold in the current fierce competition for employment, normal students must not only have excellent teacher skills and solid professional knowledge, but also grasp kinds of employment information in time. This activity provides a channel for them to improve their understanding of basic education and recruitment information in Qixia District.
