Teacher Education College "Red Candle" Youth Association Successfully Launched Education Volunteer Activities 2.0

On November 15, the "Red Candle" Youth Association of Teacher Education College launched a 2.0 teaching activity in the increasingly cold autumn wind. Zhou Mengfei, a volunteer, sat in front of the computer in 403 classroom of Xue Ming Building as scheduled, bringing children another rich and interesting course. Today, the volunteer's course for children is the encyclopedia knowledge of bird biology.

First, the volunteers showed the children some of the world's birds and introduced them to one or two of them. The children were surprised by the variety of birds. They asked the volunteers enthusiastically, and the volunteers answered patiently for them. Next, the volunteers detailed the definition of birds and their evolutionary history through some more professional terminology, and some detailed and easy-to-understand pictures, which let children have a more scientific and rigorous understanding. For bird fossils, children were incredible at first. Through volunteer explanations, they gradually understood the principles of fossils and realized the evolution process of organisms in nature. After getting a general impression of birds, the volunteers put forward the final topic, which is the specific classification of birds. Through the division of the program, the children realized that there are many kinds of birds, and at the same time, they also realized the beauty of the body shape of birds. Finally, by linking with reality, we can lead children to understand the birds around them, and let them realize the importance of protecting animals and ecology.

From the beginning of the boiling, to defuse the fossil experience of the focus, and finally conscientiously experience the spirit of environmental protection, I believe that children learn a lot of new knowledge in this lesson and I hope volunteers in the future classroom can also bring children such lively and interesting knowledge, so that they often uphold an environmentally conscious mind and treat our environment gently.
