On the morning of November 18, Li Jing, a volunteer of "Red Candle" Youth Association of Teacher Education College, came to Sun Zhixiang's home to volunteer for one-on-one teaching activities in Xianlin New Village. During the two hours of teaching, volunteers met many challenges and experienced many helplessness.

With each fall of autumn rain, it’s getting colder. Accompanied by the dripping rain, through the gray morning fog, volunteers Li Jing got up early and came to Sun Zhixiang's home for counseling, but the challenge of counseling was unexpected. The volunteer's first challenge was her disagreement with Sun Zhixiang about the order of writing assignments. Li Jing volunteers believe that Sun Zhixiang's mathematics is relatively weak, and he should first tutor mathematics, while Sun Zhixiang himself believes that political homework is more, so he should write politics first. At first, there was some deadlock between the two sides, but after the patient persuasion of the volunteers, Sun Zhixiang finally listened to the volunteers' suggestions and earnestly studied mathematics. Li Jing volunteers first corrected Sun Zhixiang's calculation questions, carefully summarized his weaknesses, and selected examples for each problem to guide Sun Zhixiang to overcome weaknesses. Here, volunteers encountered a challenge that can only be met in practical teaching practice - how to deal with the relationship with rebellious students correctly. In one hour of teaching, Sun Zhixiang, a puberty student, showed great incompatibility, which made the volunteers who had no theoretical knowledge but lacked practical teaching experience feel helpless. Li Jing persuaded and taught Sun Zhixiang with full patience and tolerance, but unfortunately, how to deal with the relationship with rebellious students correctly, the methods adopted by normal students are still relatively immature.There is still a long way to go before normal school students want to become mature teachers.

The one-to-one volunteer teaching activities in Xianlin New Village sponsored by the "Red Candle" Youth Association of Teacher Education College are a practical exercise of the teachers'skills of the majority of normal students. It makes the normal students feel various problems in the actual teaching in advance at a small cost, and constantly exercises the students' ability of carefulness, patience and frustration tolerance.
