On December 14^th,the final competition of “top-ten Demonstration class”of NNU was held as scheduled in Guang Yue hall,Xianlin Campus.School leaders,teachers and representative students came to the site and witnessed the emerge of the top ten demonstration class in 2018.Counselors and freshmen monitors from 27 schools consitituted the on-site jury and took part in the comparison and assessment of the comptetition. The Class 1601—Chinese language and culture(normal) prepared actively, performed earnestly and finally won the second place.

The demonstration consisted of two parts:six-minute show of theme and one-minute on-site defence,aimed at thoroughly inspecting constructions from the perspective of thoughts,institutions,activities and qualities of class members.All teachers and students attached great importance to this competition.paid high attention at all time and actively supported this activity.Zhang Jie,secretary of the teacher teaching school,dean Yezhong,deputy secretary Liu Gensheng,Teacher Li qin in Dean’s office and Guochao,counselor of grade 16,Wang Tianrui,counselor of grade 17,Gao Xiaoyue,counselor of postgraduates attended the competition in person,watched the wonderful performance of class 1601.

 

It was the eighteenth time that students from school of teacher education have attended the competition for top ten class.More than 60 students in class 1601 and the their counselor Guochao have made preparations for up to two months. With the rational division of class committee and the full cooperation of all students,they together completed the complicated and trival work.From the beginning of the comptetion to November,they collected information of prize and award and polished up the back materials of different parts;In early December,class leadership group and the counselor Guochao  discussed the form of stage performance and called on all students to take active part in the preparation.During the preparation of more than two months,class 1601 united as one and strived for a common goal.Members of class committee rushed back and forth between Huacheng Building and dormitories,confirmed the PPT,lectures and all the materials again and again.Teacher Guochao even took advantage of the weekend break to discuss with the classmates about the stage plan, classmates exploited their advantages and put forward many constructive suggestions and plans.All cooperated efficiently,encouraged each other and enjoyed the process from the bottom of heart.

The demonstration used the classical six arts of Confucius’thoughts and showed the style of the class by focusing on the six major constructions which included class atmosphere,the style of study,institutions,culture,features and headmaster.The final spot started with three classmates who separately played the role of Confucius and his disciples to attract the attention of the audience by introducing the body part through the simple dialogue;after that,the host and speakers of each part appeared on the stage,with the enthusiastic introductions of the speakers,part of the classmates who was holding the display boards and the scrolls and those who was going to be writing brush,singing opera and dancing entered the stage successively,gaining continuous applause from the audience.At last,all classmates recited an poetry created originally:We dare summon the Galaxy to rub on an ink slab,dip the brush in the sea to draw unrestrainedly.All talents of the class are marching into the majestic mountain top,and our ambition is to be a future educator.After finishing it,all of the performers expressed their gratitude and exited in thouderous applause.It came to a successful and satisfactory result.Reviewing the process in the last few months,everyone felt touched.

 

In the defence which followed the show, faced with the questions put forward by the experts,Shi Yitong centered firmly around the characteristics of pedagogical major and answered with rigorous logic and fluent speaking,successfully conveyed the stage show theory and features of Schol of Teacher Teaching.

 

The total sixteen classes which took part in this final competition were leaders that standed out from more than 700 classes.After a series of filtering and assessment which includes preliminary examination,comprehensive scoring and dormintory interview,they finally came to the stage of final competition,took their advantages to the fullest and show the best part.Among them,Class 1601 strived all the way and honorably achieved the second place.

Through this demonstration,advanced classed from different schools and majors took the example for the construction of school spirit,style of class and academic atmosphere in NNU,whiched reflected innovation and achievements of the our school’s talent cultivation model.Our school added the selection of top ten class and top one hundred class last year to solidify the achievements of class construction,which reflected the new requisitions of  ideological and political conference in colleges and universities and helps form a set of transformable,propagable institutions of class construction,improve class management stably and powerfully,polish up rigorous and open academic atmosphere and innovate continuously in ideological and political education.We hope that every students in NNU could grow up better in the edification of excellent studying style,compose the melodies of youth with spirit and dreams and make efforts to construct the beautiful tomorrow of NNU.(School of teacher education Liu Siyi)
