In order to activate the class atmosphere, enhance the friendship between students and form a cohesive class, the Excellent Class of grade 2019 of the School of Teacher Education held the "New Year's party" at 18:00 p.m. on December 28 in room 212, Xueming building, Xianlin campus, Nanjing Normal University. This activity was presided over by zhu Lin, the deputy monitor, and Lin luyun, the commissary in charge of entertainment and sports. The atmosphere was warm and various competitions were wonderful.   

"Ice-breaking games" brought students closer

The Excellent Class of grade 2019 comes from different normal majors, and most of the professional courses are taken separately. Compared with ordinary administrative classes, students have fewer chances to get to know each other. The ice-breaking game provided an opportunity for students to communicate with each other. The game required each person to hold 10 questions and go around to find out the students in the class who had the corresponding skills. For example, "name 15 provinces in China", "recite songs of the dynasty", "play an instrument" and so on. In the process of students asking each other what they are good at, they were not only familiar with different faces, but also knew each other’s strengths.

 

"You draw and I guess" lit up the room

After the class was divided into four groups, every two groups would take part in the activities “you draw and I guess” respectively. Faced with the same idiom, different teams had given different understandings, and different people had different interpretations of the previous classmate's board painting, resulting in different results. At the scene of the competition, everyone's artistic performance really lit up the class atmosphere in an instant. The abstract painting style not only made it difficult for students to understand and read, but also made others present laugh.

 

"Write poems for you" was full of literary grace

The host provided the theme of "youth is not plain", "fun for New Year's eve", "ordinary is also extraordinary" and "excellent is also imperfect". The group members discussed with each other, and every person thought out of one sentence to connect four modern poems. Among them, "fun for New Year's eve" theme poem gathered everyone's favorite food: golden chicken steak rice, dim ecstasy rice, Taiwan stewed pork rice, iron plate squid rice and so on. The modern poem which was full of "really delicious" flavor won the unanimous praise of the class and the opportunity to transcribe calligraphy.

 

Gift exchange warmed people's hearts

At the end of the session, each student took out his prepared New Year gifts, gifted to the students of corresponding number. Each student in the class carefully prepared New Year's gifts and shared double happiness in the exchange. At last, the postcards that were full of love and blessings were passed back to the whole Excellence Class of grade 19. The class was happy and harmonious, and everyone ended the unforgettable theme activity with warm photos.

 

Through this theme activity, the Excellent Class of grade 19 of education college was truly closely connected with each other. Although some students unfortunately failed to participate in the activity, they would also accompany the class through 2018 to 2019. Hopefully, all the students can have a smooth life and achieve academic success in 2019.
