On the afternoon of December 23, a seminar on the educational and ideological discussion was organized at the Department of Subject Teaching, Room 222.The event was hosted by Gu Jiling.

She first introduced the background of the great discussion on educational thoughts and clarified the theme of this discussion:A discussion about the wisdom of education in higher education. Everyone agrees that such a topic is full of the times and has the value of discussion.

 

Teacher Zhu Xuemei gave a keynote speech.She analyzed the situation of smart education research from the background of the times, policy background and school background.The Internet is driving the innovation of education.The nature and ecology of education are undergoing major changes.The pace of supply-side reform of education is accelerating.Education requires precise educational decision-making, a cognitive cognitive vehicle and a hybrid teaching model that combines online and offline.“Internet with education”is an important strategy for building a strong education country.The Teacher Education Revitalization Action Plan puts forward the specific requirements of "Internet with Teacher Education".To promote the construction and application of teacher education informatization teaching service platform and the transformation of teaching methods characterized by autonomy, cooperation and inquiry,we must make full use of new technologies such as cloud computing, big data, virtual reality and artificial intelligence .In 2017, the Ministry of Education issued the“Implementation Measures for the Professional Certification of Normal Colleges and Universities (Provisional)”.According to the "Course Implementation" of the third level of the "Standards for the Certification of Secondary Education Professionals", we must focus on the application of information technology to promote the reform of teaching and learning.Our school attaches great importance to the education and teaching reform of the teacher major.We encourage teachers using the application of information technology to carry out teaching.The college is also actively building smart classrooms.Teacher Zhu believes that the smart classroom can help to carry out the hybrid teaching of online personalized learning and offline collaborative research, which can enrich the connotation of traditional curriculum and teaching theory.It can also transform the concept of teacher education and the way students learn.At the same time ,it explores the direction and path of "Internet with teacher education"and provide excellent teachers who can carry out mixed teaching reform for basic education.Teacher Zhu also applied for provincial and school-level related topics.She has tried classroom teaching in smart classrooms for more than a year and has accumulated a certain amount of experience and obtained relatively good teaching feedback.

 

Next, the teachers started a heated discussion about how to use the smart classroom to carry out classroom teaching.What is the meaning of hybrid teaching?What is the difference between it and general classroom teaching?What is suitable for mixed teaching? What is the hybrid teaching model? What developments does mixed teaching bring to students?

 

Through discussion, they formed the following points and suggestions:

1. Use the smart classroom and with the help of the teaching platform, you can post your homework, correct your homework, initiate discussions and establish a student's personal learning file to bring convenience to teaching and learning.
2. Traditional classrooms can also be grouped and displayed.Wisdom education should pay attention to students' communication and evaluation,Especially personalized feedback.The core of smart education should be to provide students with personalized learning.
3. We must consider how the instructional design changes and how to evaluate it.How to help students with personalized learning?You can learn from the students what they need more and what wisdom education brings to them.
4. Not all classroom requires mixed teaching.We can design and implement classroom teaching cases according to different disciplines.So we can form application cases and then carry out general refinement.
5. The wisdom classroom construction of our school is still not perfect and can not meet the needs of teachers.For example,our whiteboards and projections can't be synchronized, classroom-generated things can't be saved and recorded instantly,teachers' classrooms in different disciplines don't have the corresponding teaching materials and space (chemical courses should always use chemical equipment and medicines).
6. The use of technology in primary and secondary schools seems to be more common and active than universities.Our teachers don't know enough about the smart classroom.They need to visit and inspect it.

 

Finally,Zhou Xiaojing (The vice president of Nanjing Normal University) pointed out that wisdom education is being explored and everyone needs to work together.In the face of information technology, we must respond to the challenges of smart education with a positive attitude.We should strive to carry out mixed teaching exploration and build a high-level team.
