The Sixty-fifth Forum on Academic Innovation in Teacher Education was successfully held.

On the afternoon of June 17, 2024, Professor Daniela Schmeinck from Germany gave a presentation entitled "Geography Education - The Key to the Future" to the students in the 110 classroom of Xuehai Building, Xianlin Campus of Nanjing Normal University. Professor Feng Jianjun, Dean of the School of Teacher Education, delivered a welcome speech, expressing his welcome and thanks to Professor Daniela Schmeinck for her arrival. Postgraduate students of Teaching and Learning (Geography) and Geography Education attended this academic event.

Prof Daniela Schmeinck's research interests are science education, geography education, children's education and digital media. She is also Deputy Director for International Cooperation at the University of Cologne and serves as an executive member of the International Federation for Geographical Education (IFGE). She is responsible for the research project "Na Wit As" (Curriculum Design for Competence in Natural Science and Technology in Primary Schools), a joint project between the University of Cologne, the Ministry of Education of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) and the Deutsche Telekom Foundation (DTF). She has presented papers at the HERODOT conference, the IGU/CGE Defense Conference and international conferences sponsored by EUROGEO

Prof Daniela Schmeinck first introduced the situation of science education and teacher training in Germany, then centered on German geography education, elaborated on the German standards for geography education, introduced the advantageous geography education methods in Germany and the consumer education in primary schools that Prof. Daniela herself researched, analyzed the impact of emerging technologies on geography education, as well as the development and innovative direction of geography education in the future. She also analyzed the impact of emerging technologies on geography education and the future development and innovation of geography education.
